Spring is the season when the world begins to break through the bleak of winter and begins to show her true colors. The air is a little warmer and people start shedding layers left and right. No more scarves, no more boots, and no more heavy sweaters. Spring is not just about changing your wardrobe. It’s the perfect time to spring clean your makeup. Why? Because it’s the season of rebirth, so it’s a great time to refresh your look and try something new. If you don’t know where to start, we have some makeup trends below that will have you counting down ‘til the first day of spring.
Peach is all the rage in makeup right now because this flattering color gives off a natural glow and is picture perfect in any selfie. Peach makeup comes in mellow tones ranging from nude to yellow, pink, or even a reddish tint. Allure magazine says that peach is the color of the sun and happiness. What could be better for spring? We also love peach makeup because it’s a soft, sensual color that goes with any outfit.

Rhythm and Blues
Blue makeup certainly isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s a hue that cannot be ignored, on the runway or on the street. If you choose to go blue in spring 2018, go bold or go home. Graphic eye makeup, cobalt in color, is taking over by storm but might be overshadowed by blue lipstick. Yes, you read that right. Blue lipstick. Whether you choose a lighter blue lipstick like Rhianna or a bolder lip shade, blue makeup is only for the fierce and fearless.
Rose Gold Cheeks
Compared to eyebrows, lips, and lashes, we feel like cheeks never get enough time in the spotlight. This overlooked area is a great place to highlight your natural beauty, especially with rose gold tones that accentuate your facial features. Even if you don’t have flawless cheekbones like Diana Ross, we say brush on some blush and flaunt what you’ve got this season.
Make Them Green With Envy
The reemergence of leaves on the trees each spring is why we associate green with this season. Plus, green complements any skin tone no matter your shade. When you wear green eyeshadow with a slight shimmer, you show your earthy side. Wearing a deep emerald is sure to make a dramatic statement. Green is surprisingly versatile, too. You can pair green eyeshadow with a nude, dark berry, or even purple lip for a look to perfectly fit your mood.
A Matte Made in Heaven
There is nothing quite so striking and sophisticated as red lipstick. Wearing it in a matte finish softens this showcase style, but still commands attention at the same time. Wardrobe stylist, Anaya Vista, recently shared this red lip look below on her Instagram and with over 23,000 likes, this look can’t go wrong.
Matte red lips have us swooning and we are convinced it’s here to stay. Here are some other wonderful ways to wear a matte red lip.
