7 Beautiful Resolutions You Can Keep All Year Long

We all try to set resolutions for eating better, going to the gym, and saving money at the beginning of every year. While some of us are really dedicated to sticking to those resolutions, most of us aren’t. We believe the reason why many people abandon resolutions is because of a lack of passion.

There’s one thing we are highly passionate about, and that is beauty. If you’re a lover of makeup, hair, and manicuring, we think you can totally keep these resolutions all year long. Here are 7 goals to start and maintain throughout 2018.

1. Take Care of Yourself

Self care was super popular in 2017, and we foresee it being just as trendy in 2018. Don’t forget to take time for yourself this year. Facials, pedicures, manicures, and girls’ days are all great ways to make sure you’re mentally and physically taken care of, but you should also consider other ways to put yourself first.

  • Cut out toxic friendships.
  • Better your mind and education.
  • Clean out old stuff.

Getting rid of toxic relationships can clear the air and make many interactions and other friendships better. Cleaning out your car, room, or other personal spaces can give you the sense of letting go of old baggage.

2. Make a Change

Resolve to change up your daily routines. You become stuck in everyday routines, and that can be mentally draining, even if you didn’t know it. Take a risk every once in a while! Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

  • Wake up earlier.
  • Try new makeup.
  • Get a new haircut or style.
  • Visit an old friend.

Just by doing something you wouldn’t normally do on a few days of the week, you’re sure to feel refreshed and recharged.

3. Write Yourself a Letter

Type it out, write it in your diary, or scribble it on a napkin; it doesn’t matter! Write yourself a letter reminding yourself of everything you accomplished last year and everything you will do this year. Let this be your guide for 2018. And in 2019, this will serve as your next reminder that you are doing great things every day.

Go the extra mile by writing little thank you notes to yourself and leaving them around your home. This is a great way to brighten up your own day.

4. Plan a Trip

Whether you’re venturing out of the country or the county, you can make any trip seem like a 5-star vacation. Take the time to plan it with a significant other or BFF. Plan out a variety of activities, indoor and outdoors. This is your time to relax and take a break from the chaos of everyday life.

5. Make a New Friend

We know, it’s not middle school any more. You probably find yourself hanging out with the same crowd or the same person. Try something different and find a new friend. Join a local team or club, and you’re bound to find someone with the same interests and goals in life. Hey, maybe this friend goes with you on your 2018 trip.

6. Do Something New

In the same vein as finding a new friend, try something new. Joining a group or club is a great way to explore new ideas and activities. Try a new food or restaurant and expand your palate. Visit a museum or gallery that you’ve never been to or adventure to a new part of your hometown.

7. Say Goodbye to 2017

Wrap up any loose ends from last year and make sure you don’t start the new year with any old problems or roadblocks. Celebrate last year’s wins, and say your goodbyes to the old challenges! 2018 is your year to rock!
